Jeannette: The Childhood of Joan of Arc

September 6th 2007
Poster
Domrémy, 1425. Jeannette is not yet Joan of Arc, but at the age of 8 she already wants to drive the English out of the Kingdom of France. Inspired by Charles Péguy’s Le Mystère de la charité de Jeanne d’Arc (1910) and Jeanne d’Arc (1897), Bruno Dumont’s Jeannette revisits the early years of a future saint in the form of a musical film with an electro-pop-rock soundtrack by Gautier Serre, alias Igorrr, and choreography by Philippe Decouflé.
